Sarah Frances "Fannie" Mudd
Sarah Frances Mudd was born on October 12, 1840, the seventh child of Henry and Sarah Mudd. She married Thomas Llewellyn Gardiner on November 17, 1864.
Fannie, as she was known by family and friends, testified for her brother, Dr. Samuel Mudd, during the Lincoln assassination trial. When Dr. Mudd was in prison at Fort Jefferson, Fannie wrote to him regularly.
Fannie and Llewellyn had five children:

Fannie was a widow during the last ten years of her life. Llewellyn passed away on June 24, 1900. Fannie died on March 1, 1910.
